Among the improvements are smoother animations when interacting with Live Alerts or notifications from the lock screen.A new map album feature lets users browse photos based on where they were taken. Any images previously hidden in the Private album that are set to public will now reappear in their original locations within the map view.

Users can also change their privacy password directly from secondary pages within Private Safe, as well as from the Locked album in the Photos app. Other upgrades include:

  • Track daily and weekly screen time through App Management in Phone Manager.

  • BeaconLink support for sharing text, images, and voice messages offline with nearby devices.
  • General system security enhancements.

How to install the update

To download and install the update, go to Settings > System > System Updates. The package is approximately 640MB, so a Wi-Fi connection and sufficient storage are recommended.Post-update performance notes

Following the installation of OxygenOS 15.0.0.860, some OnePlus 13 users have observed faster battery drain, occasional lag, or network instability. It’s common for major updates to cause temporary performance fluctuations as the system re-optimizes.Auto-brightness behavior may also seem inconsistent at first, though this typically stabilizes within a few days as the system recalibrates. Phones often re-index files and relearn usage patterns after an update to restore optimal performance.
