If all goes according to plan, we could see MrBeast launching his own budget-friendly mobile carrier as early as next year.
My first introduction to MrBeast came through an unlikely source: a scam. I was scrolling through social media when I stumbled upon countless fake Instagram accounts with handles like “mrbeastps5giveaways” and “official_ps5mrbeast.” They all promised free PlayStation 5 consoles in his name—if you followed their instructions. Like many others, I felt a mix of curiosity and letdown. I really wanted a PS5, too.

Ironically, that early brush with fraud was my introduction to someone who’s now one of the internet’s most influential figures. MrBeast—whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson—is reportedly gearing up to introduce his own mobile service by 2026.

Reports suggest he’ll enter the telecom space as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). Given his track record, it’s a move worth watching. He’s already dominated YouTube with over 430 million subscribers and made a splash in the food industry with Feastables. Breaking into wireless? That doesn’t seem so far-fetched.

Jimmy Donaldson is a 27-year-old YouTuber who turned viral stunts and giveaways into a global brand. With more than 400 million subscribers, he’s the most-followed creator on the platform—and his influence spans TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.

But he’s more than a content creator. He’s a full-blown entrepreneur. Through Beast Industries, he runs Feastables (a chocolate and snack brand), Lunchly (a competitor to Lunchables), a toy line, and several other ventures.

Now, according to leaked investor documents obtained by Business Insider Africa, Donaldson has telecommunications in his sights. He’s planning to launch an MVNO—meaning he would lease network capacity from major carriers like Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile—and rebrand it under the name “MrBeast Mobile.”
