Oppo Find X9 Lineup Shake-Up Hides Major Upgrades
Here’s what we know for sure: The Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro are expected to launch in October 2025. Beyond that, things get messy.
Recent leaks suggest Oppo is restructuring its flagship lineup, much like Samsung did with its Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S25 Edge’s strong sales reportedly pushed Samsung to reconsider its “Plus” model, leaving it awkwardly positioned between the base and Ultra variants. Similarly, Oppo’s rebranding efforts have led to confusion—what was once a clear four-model strategy (Find X9, X9 Plus, X9 Pro, and X9 Ultra) may now be streamlined.

Earlier rumors claimed the X9 Ultra and standard X9 would be delayed until 2026, while the X9 Plus might simply be rebranded as the base Find X9. If true, this would mean the phone originally dubbed the X9 Plus could hit shelves as the standard model. Confusing? Absolutely.
Oppo Find X9: What’s Confirmed (So Far)
Amid the chaos, one thing seems certain: The Find X9 and X9 Pro will likely debut in October, shortly after China’s National Day holiday.

According to trusted leaker Digital Chat Station, the Find X9 will feature a 6.3-inch flat display (referred to as the “small cup” in leaks), while the high-end Ultra model (the “super large cup”) may follow later. More importantly, the Find X9 is reportedly being tested on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 platform, set to launch in September 2025.
This chip is a powerhouse, built on Arm’s new Cortex-X930 CPU (part of the “Lumex” branding) and promising a 49% single-core performance boost over its predecessor. The GPU, codenamed “Drage,” reportedly delivers 40% faster ray tracing, putting it in direct competition with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2.

With this kind of performance, the Find X9 is rumored to pack a triple 50MP camera setup, including a periscope telephoto lens, along with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and advanced biometric security.
A 7,000mAh Battery? Oppo Might Go Big
The most surprising leak? A potential 7,000mAh battery—far beyond the 5,000–5,500mAh range found in most flagships, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Pixel 9 Pro. Even gaming phones rarely exceed 6,000mAh without sacrificing thickness or wireless charging. Yet Oppo reportedly plans to pair this massive battery with 50W wireless charging.

While skepticism is warranted (even 6,000mAh batteries remain rare), Oppo may not be alone in this push. Rumor has it that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra could also feature a 6,800–7,000mAh cell. If true, 2025 might be the year of extreme battery wars.
