Samsung Quietly Launches Galaxy Buds 3 FE in Latin America

Samsung has caught everyone off guard with the surprise release of the Galaxy Buds 3 Fan Edition (FE). Instead of waiting for the usual September–October FE launch window, the company has already made the earbuds available—but only in its Latin American online store for now.

The new Buds 3 FE appear to take design cues from the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, featuring a stem-style build with rubber ear tips for a snug fit. While Samsung hasn’t released an official spec sheet, we know the earbuds will come in black and gray and retail for $129—about $30 more than the previous Buds FE model.

First Look: Galaxy Buds 3 FE in Black and White

Samsung’s Latin American store has already listed the Buds 3 FE, complete with product images, color options, and pricing. Before the listing was taken down (as Samsung often does with early leaks), details emerged about charging speeds: 1W for the earbuds and 4.5W for the case.

The earbuds feature a stemmed design with a sleek, elongated profile. A thin vertical black stripe runs down each stem, contrasting against the glossy white finish. The soft black silicone ear tips create a tight in-ear seal while adding a sharp visual pop against the white body.

As for the charging case, it sports a smooth, rounded-rectangle shape with gently curved edges. The transparent lid offers a peek at the earbuds inside, while the base comes in either matte black or white. A small LED indicator on the front shows charging status, and the earbuds sit horizontally inside, their stems angled slightly upward.

Please, Samsung—No More Peeling Issues!

Personally, I’m all for the matte black version—not just because it looks sleek, but because it hides fingerprints better than glossy finishes. Matte black also absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving it a more premium, understated look.

But none of that matters if Samsung repeats the peeling issue seen on the Buds 2 Pro. Those earbuds suffered from a soft-touch matte coating that eventually yellowed and flaked off, making them look worn out even if they still functioned perfectly. Here’s hoping Samsung has fixed that problem this time around.

Galaxy S25 FE Launching Sooner Than Expected

In related news, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE might arrive a week earlier than last year’s model. Reports from South Korea suggest an announcement on September 19, compared to the S24 FE’s late September debut.

Expected specs include:

  • Exynos 2400 chipset
  • 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display (120Hz, Gorilla Glass Victus)
  • Triple rear cameras: 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP 3x telephoto
  • 12MP front camera
  • 4,500mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging
  • IP68 water resistance
  • One UI 8 (Android 16) out of the box

Pricing in South Korea is expected to stay under ₩1 million (~$721), with only a minor increase over the S24 FE.
