Google Confirms August 20 Launch for Pixel 10 Series—Here’s What to Expect

The wait is almost over—Google’s next flagship smartphones are just a month away from their official debut. Known for their sleek designs, industry-leading cameras, and clean Android experience, the Pixel lineup has built a loyal following over the years. Last year’s Pixel 9 series continued that tradition, and now, the tech giant is gearing up to unveil its successor: the Pixel 10 series.

After months of speculation, Google has finally revealed the date for its Made by Google 2025 event: August 20. That’s just a week later than last year’s Pixel 9 launch but earlier than previous releases, signaling a shift in Google’s usual fall timeline.

A Look Back at Pixel’s Evolution

My first encounter with a Google flagship was the Pixel XL, and even though I got it years after its release, it left a lasting impression. That’s why I get why so many people stick with Pixel phones—they deliver a consistently great experience. Now, with the Pixel 9 in the rearview mirror, all eyes are on the Pixel 10 family.

For those keeping track, here’s how recent Pixel launches compare:

| Series | Launch Date |

|————–|——————|

| Pixel 10 | August 20, 2025 |

| Pixel 9 | August 13, 2024 |

| Pixel 8 | October 4, 2023 |

| Pixel 7 | October 6, 2022 |

| Pixel 6 | October 19, 2021 |

If you didn’t snag an invite (most of us didn’t), don’t worry—you can still catch the livestream at 1 PM ET on Google’s official channels. Rumor has it the event will take place in New York this year, a departure from Google’s usual Mountain View, California, setting.

What’s Coming at the Made by Google Event?

While there may be a few surprises, the main attractions are no secret. Here’s what we’re expecting:

  • Pixel 10 (Standard model)
  • Pixel 10 Pro
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL
  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold

As with previous years, the budget-friendly Pixel 10a will likely arrive in early 2026. Google is also expected to refresh its Pixel Watch 4, keeping the dual-size option from last year. And if we’re lucky, we might finally see an upgrade to the Pixel Buds A-Series, which hasn’t seen a new model since 2021.

With just weeks to go, the countdown to Google’s next big reveal is officially on. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to August 20!
