When early renders of the Nothing Phone 3 leaked, my first reaction was… skepticism. While I’m still not sold on its looks, real-world photos fare much better than the initial impressions. One thing’s certain: this phone doesn’t follow the crowd.
Design: Love It or Hate It
The Phone 3 is a bold statement in smartphone aesthetics. If you’re tired of cookie-cutter designs, this might catch your eye—though the unconventional camera layout won’t be for everyone. The more I studied it, the more its quirks grew on me.
The back panel features Nothing’s signature Glyph Matrix, now upgraded to a micro-LED display that’s far more functional. It can show notifications, progress bars, and even mini-games. Alongside it sits the Glyph Button, a circular control that lets you toggle between display modes.
Durability-wise, it’s IP68-rated—not quite the IP69 some rivals offer, but still solid for everyday use.
Display: A Flagship-Worthy Screen
Nothing didn’t cut corners here. The 6.67-inch OLED panel boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Slimmer bezels (12% thinner than the Phone 2) give it a more modern feel.
Performance: Almost Top-Tier
Instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Nothing opted for the 8s Gen 4—a slight step down, but performance should still be excellent. Configurations include 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB, with UFS 4.0 storage, Bluetooth 6.0, and Wi-Fi 7.
Battery & Charging
A 5,150mAh battery (or 5,500mAh in India) powers the device, with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging—competitive, if not class-leading.
Cameras: Nothing’s Best Yet
A triple 50MP setup (main, 3x periscope telephoto, and ultrawide) covers all bases, with 4K/60fps recording across all lenses. The rear camera arrangement still feels awkward, though—especially the telephoto placement.
Software & AI Features
Running Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.5, the Phone 3 promises 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches. AI enhancements include:
- Flip to Record: Instantly transcribes and summarizes meetings when placed face-down.

Developed with KEF (a legendary British audio brand), the Headphone 1 packs 40mm dynamic drivers, ANC, Hi-Res Audio, and LDAC support. Battery life hits 35 hours (ANC on) or 80 hours (ANC off).
